A Celebration of Bells (Dover Books on Americana)

A Celebration of Bells - Eric Sloane, Eric Hatch I recently read "The Nine Tailors" by Dorothy Sayers. Change ringing of bells plays an important if not critical part of that book. I was given this book on bells as a gift, and jumped into it with both feet and enjoyed it a great deal!Bells of all types are discussed here, not just my favorite about change ringing, and the text is accompanied by wonderful sketches by the author. I have read many of Eric Sloane's books, and always enjoy his very practical explanations and clear diagrams. This is a fun book to read, and I would recommend it for just plain reading, or understanding some of the intricacies of the different types of bells and how they are rung!
