The Dumbest Generation: How the Digital Age Stupefies Young Americans and Jeopardizes Our Future (Or, Don't Trust Anyone Under 30)

The Dumbest Generation: How the Digital Age Stupefies Young Americans and Jeopardizes Our Future (Or, Don't Trust Anyone Under 30) - Mark Bauerlein I admit I did not read this book completely. I skimmed it, and found that while most of the information was interesting and thought provoking, it was information I had already read or known from other sources. As a better overall book in understanding what the digital age has done to our attention spans, our ability to converse without interrupting, our ability to discuss and disagree without making personal attacks, I would recommend "Endangered Minds: Why Children Don't Think and What we can do about it" by Jane Healey.I also found the end of the book to be a bit lacking. After pointing out all these problems, what are the solutions? It seems to be easier to identify the problem, and more difficult to suggest solutions. So the next question is "how do we redeem our future and become an educated generation?".
